Grandmaster Flatcap
One of the hex bolts holding my cycle wing on is stripped and the allen key just spins in the hole. Looks like I'll have to drill it out. Does anyone have a spare one lying around having replaced a wing and bonded? Cheers in advance.

kenny.
Just a thought Nigel..........you say "hex bolts", I'm assuming you mean the "dome heads" with the allen hex in the centre
shn7
For removal you might be better off using a nut splitter on the nut rather than trying to drill the bolt.

shn7
Have used one fine on a small nut like you'd be doing. Simply and quick. Simply cuts the nut in half.
revilla
I used a nut splitter on exactly this ... to remove the nut on the stay side of the cycle wing bolt. Never used one before but it just chopped the nut in half at the first attempt without any problems.

kenny.
If these little bolts sieze they are a PITA without the splitter mentioned. I have managed to drill them out in the past but if the bolt is moving then its just impossible. Only other option I've used is loads of plusgas overnight then gripped the head with decent mole grips.
