Grandmaster Flatcap
Before I try to finesse it with a hammer. K-Series, standard exhaust 4-1 inside the side skin. I've removed silencer and unfastened the collector plate from the block. How do I get the collector unit off? The studs are so long that the collector hits the diagonal chassis member before it clears the studs.
Alan Bowler
undo the engine mount. jack up the engine a couple of inches - it will tilt over giving you enough room to extract the collector. better description from myles here Edited by - Alan Bowler on 20 Apr 2013 15:54:

Scott Dabinett
When my car went to DVA he trimmed the studs for me for future use! Might be something to consider!
