Nicks3
I see Caterham list an 8% quick rack and a 22% quick rack. Is the 8% rack the 'normal' rack fitted to Caterhams or is there one which is not a quick rack? I can't see anything else other than the 8% and 22% listed on the Caterham on line store. shn7
Historically yes, in the last 15+ years I think no.
Nicks3
Sorry, not sure I understand the reply. Are you saying the 8% rack is the rack normally fitted by Caterham nowadays as opposed to one with no % loading?
Support Team Shaun_E Posted April 18, 2013 Support Team Share Posted April 18, 2013 Yes - 8% is the current standard rack and has been for many years.

Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted April 18, 2013 Leadership Team Share Posted April 18, 2013 I've had two Caterhams, both 22% ....... just swapped to an 8% and much prefer it (90% road use). Stu.
Nicks3
Stu, how do they compare in feel on the road?
Mick Day
Strange? I went from a 0% to 22% & much prefer the 22% rack.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted April 18, 2013 Leadership Team Share Posted April 18, 2013 On track a 22% is brilliant, but on our rather less than perfect roads the 8% fights back much less and makes the handling more sublime as well as making low speed maneuvering more bearable. I agree though that a 22% would be preferable over the old 0%. I'm running wide track BTW. Stu.
