Recently rebuilt 3.92:1 ZF LSD - (SOLD).

Caterham/Sierra ZF 3.92:1 limited slip differential. Rebuilt by Road and Race Transmissions 600 miles ago with invoice available. This is the whole unit including outer casings etc all ready to fit into the car.

This will not suit a road car with a 6 speed gearbox as 6th (ie 1:1 direct drive) gear will be too low. However the 5 speed gearbox has 4th gear as 1:1 direct drive with 5th as an overdrive and as such, couple this LSD to a 5 speed gearbox and it is a perfect road car marriage. It gives lower gearing throughout the gear range whist still having the 5th gear as an overdrive. The car becomes noticeably more accelerative.

Alternatively, this 3.92:1 LSD will be perfect with a 6 speed gearbox in a hill climb or sprint application where maximum acceleration is important.
