Spare wheel carrier / wires

Quick question.

 

2002 S3, Spare wheel carrier of the type that is part of chassis as opposed to bolted on.

 

The wire for the number plate light enters the tubing of the wheel carrier under the light itself. Where does this pop out of the tubing inside / under the car to join the loom?

Hi Nigel

 

If I remember rightly there is a hole and rubber grommet in the bottom chassis tube adjacent to the right hand (when viewed from behind) wheel carrier tube.

 

If you follow the cables from the side of the fuel tank / fuel pump you should be able to follow the loom to the spot :)
