TBKBABABTIM
Does anyone know what size thread the stud on the de dion tube is for attaching the 3-way brake union? The guide is useless on this, the fastener pack has now changed reference number from that in the guide and the inventory list which comes with it is wrong, CC sent me a new one but that doesnt make sense either as the part number listed is a washer. Tried a 6M nyloc but seems bit too small and dont want to strip the stud as its welded to the de dion and an 8M is too big.
Jonathan Kay
Have you tried Charles' incredibly useful guide to fastener packs? Jonathan
Area Representative Crudders Posted April 5, 2013 Area Representative Share Posted April 5, 2013 Hi TBKetc. - if M6 is too small and M8 too big, my money would be on 1/4" UNF (1/4" = 6.35mm). I don't own a DeDion but my LA has a 3 way union up front which houses a hydraulic brake switch, and IIRC that sits on a 1/4" UNF stud.
