simonbell
Nils It`s got alloy block and head.....I think it weighs a little bit more than a K but lighter than a VX or zetec. Should have plenty of low down torque.... Have a look at the Raceline website as well......it appears they will be less expensive....but then I think the minister engines are to a racing specification....not sure about Raceline. Slipper man
I think that Graham Fuller said it was 18 kgs more than the r500 engine (which was 92 kgs I think)

mic
The 2.0ltr Duratec from my car weighs 112.5kgs. That includes starter motor, alternator, engine mounts, remote oil filter and hoses, pace dry sump pump and hoses, clutch and flywheel, engine wiring loom, and throttle bodies. Slipper man
That ties in with what Graham Fuller told me. It shows how amazingly light an R500 engine is. Mind you, the Duratec must have more pwer and torque potential - there really is no substitute for cubes.
