andy couchman
Have been planning a circuit for my garden office. Plan is just a couple of longish straights, then a spiral from the floor to a couple of shelves up on the bookshelf. But I need some more (cheap!) curves for the spiral bit. If anyone has any at a ridiculously cheap price, do shout. Just the regular 45% and any type of connection should be OK. If anyone has a pitstop kit that would be great too. Also, any ideas as to how to best support the track as it climbs the dizzy heights... Thanks all. Andy
myothercarsa2cv
Make something akin to the spirals you get in car parks - ladders made out of 1/2" square wood, the more the better to give it that car park look, then thin balsa steamed to curve between the supports as your walls. Paint it all concrete grey, and jobs' a good'un. A few braces (e.g. an octagon top and bottom if having 8 ladders) to keep it sturdy might be good, too. Else, just do what kids always did and use stacks of old magazines and books
