Support Team rob spencer Posted March 13, 2013 Support Team Share Posted March 13, 2013 Scott I've got a spare manifold from a 2002 Superlight 1600. Its the standard one (four into one under the bonnet; exits the sideskin as one). Any use? Rob
Scott Dabinett
Thanks for the offer but I am after one that goes into one after it had exited the side skin! Like an upgraded one! Thanks Scott
7 wonders of the world
Scott might be worth keeping a look out for a VHPD 4-2-1 system, they do pop up one here and these work better at maximsing mid range than a 4-1 on most K engines and will be able to handle many rounds of upgrades up to circa 230BHP without issue. Mankee
That's exactly what I've done, as the VHPD/SLR system is able to handle 245+bhp. I bought a complete used system from another club member. My old 4-1 race system coped with over 200bhp and can reputedly handle a smidge over 210bhp. Scott, I guess it depends on your planned future bhp and budget? I think there's a Powerspeed group on at the moment, but one of their tasty systems is too rich for my wallet and far too shiny for my battered ex-racer. Scott Dabinett
Thanks for the advise! Tbh I think if I was going to go above te 150-160 mark I would look for someone swapping out an R400 for a duratec or something and try and buy the whole package! Like engine, exhaust, dry sump and that! Currently blat mailing someone about a 4-1 now so hopefully that works out!
