This is probably a stupid question but......can I stick Sparco seats in my 7? It's a live axle 1990 Supersprint X flow. I'd rather spend Demon Tweeks' £91 quid on a couple of sprint steel frame job than all that on Caterham's Tillet seats. I have adjustable cloth seats at present which are a bit nasty, to be honest. Neither seat needs be adjustable.

 

Now, I'm sure I'm going to get a plethora of postings saying they don't fit, are hard to fit etc

The problem is that the 7 is too narrow. IF it fits you casn easily bolt it to the floor though.

Very unlikely they'll:

fit/give you the necessary legroom if they do/ look good etc.

You can get stuff tailormade by companies like Corbeau but ultimately you're probably better off getting a Tillet composite. The price isn't too daft & Oxted trimming will do you a padded cover if you want something less stark than a shiny surface.

As I suspected! Oh well - I'll see what Sparco tell me. Mind you, hard Tillets not a problem either. 🙆🏻-wise.
