mcerbm
There have been a few posts about caterhams tacho's being in accurate, my one over reads. At a rolling road the mems ECU called time at 7999rpm on my VHPD as expected but the tacho was showing 8600rpm Is it possible to adjust them or is it just pot luck when you get a unit from Caterham? David Lynch
The nature of the inaccuracy you are experiencing (assuming +7.5% all the way up)I would guess it's a return to Caerbont for calibration (probably an internal Pot to wind back). I doubt it's something you can resolve with the dip switch settings (if that's the type you have) I just rely on listening and the blinding red light 😬
charlie_pank
I think I have a spare one kicking about...
Mankee
I had a similar problem with my tacho wildly over-reading. It's an early tacho and I don't think it had any dip switches on the back, just the normal three wires. I sent it here, and it came back very promptly, serviced and fixed.
