Roger Ford
Given the price of Caterhams, I often wonder if the mug holders are made by Tillett. Edited by - Roger Ford on 5 Mar 2013 09:57:

BSA
My Brother in Law Manufactures specialist Alloy / Composite cutting Machines , He supplies Airbus, Rolls Royce, Red Bull F1 etc. Last year i visited one of his customers one of the largest Specialist Alloy stockholders in Southampton I was amazed at the range of Stock Titanium Bar, Tube , Plate , Box section an extensive enough range to build a complete 7 Chassis and not THAT expensive. I have a friend of mine who is a top ex Aerospace Fabricator / Welder he could easily make , De Dion Tube/ Ears , Prop Shaft , Half Shaft's , Front Wishbones , and Up Rights in Titanium and other Chassis parts. Chaterham could have offered These Products as up grades years ago! Edited by - BSA on 5 Mar 2013 10:23:

tiddy1
BSA, have you ever compared the structural stiffmess of Ti Vs steel, if you made a 7 chassis out of Ti, it would probably have to be heavier than the steel one to regain the stiffness. non structural parts from Ti are fine or when in pure tension or compression, anything with a bending moment on it, then forget Ti Simon

Colin S
I would just like a fuel gauge that reads correctly and doesn't show empty when the tank is still half full. Can't be that difficult can it?? Colin
