Should I stay with rubber bushes or go for spherical bearings? scooby dooby doo Posted November 13, 2002 Share Posted November 13, 2002 freestyle do dampers with spherical bearings (see Len - I remembered not to call them Rose joints or rubber bushes. They come with all the bits you need. If you get them form somebody not familiar with a Caterham then surely its going to pot luckas to whether they fit or not... stevefoster Posted November 14, 2002 Share Posted November 14, 2002 I tried Avo's spherical jointed dampers on my live axle 7. I liked them. It didn't make the ride harsh at all. It felt more responsive. On the live axle they allow the axle to more in one wheel bump without trying to bend the damper via the rubber bush over it's length and telescope at the same time.
