WobblyWeb
Hi Can someone more learned confirm whether the tonneau in the linked pics below Tonneau linky features a petty strut flap position for: a) Safety Devices/Arch (single diagonal roll bar) petty strut position or b) Caged (double diagonal roll bar) petty strut position I believe/fear it is the former as it apparently dates from 2000 era, and understand there is a difference?? Roadru77er
Not sure isn't it left hand drive though?
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted February 27, 2013 Area Representative Share Posted February 27, 2013 Quoting Roadru77er: Not sure isn't it left hand drive though? Definitely not left hand drive. Looks similar to mine - 2000 Arch imperial chassis - single diagonal roll bar.
Alan Bowler
99% sure that is the hole/flap for the Arch petty strut, and if its from 2000 it would be. I could measure/photo tonight and show pics of the two locations if you want to confirm absolutely. I decided to cut a hole in my tonneau to fit the Caged strut for sprinting. (Shameless plug: my tonneau is still for sale as I now have a full cage, open to offers before it goes on ebay. The home made second hole is in the right place for a padded caged petty strut)
WobblyWeb
Thanks everyone, I don't think it's necessary to go to further trouble as the consensus in strongly towards pre-caged era roll bar/strut vintage ie: single diagonal bar/strut. The tonneau is actually being offered for sale by Roger in the ForSale forum if anyone is interested. Thanks again WW
