CharlesElliott
Been doing them this way for years....metal rings against the head. Is this the right way?
Mankee
This is not very helpful, but there is a notch cut out of one of stud holes. I can't remember which way round I fitted the gasket recently and now you've got me thinking... Edit: just thought about it some more. Is the notch there so that the water rail/coolant elbow is not being prevented from fitting properly against the head? If so, there's only one correct way that the gasket can go on. Englishmaninwales
Correct, the notched end of the gasket goes adjacent to the coolant outlet.
