ECR
Buy silicone, they'll outlast rubber by a massive factor. They don't take on a set like rubber hoses and so can be removed and relaced very easily. My hoses are 12+ years old and still going strong. combine
Had silicone pipes fitted about 4 years ago to my HPC when on carbs , she's now on Tb's and pipes don't alter , well worth it , if I knew how to do a link on here I'd post a pic !
Garibaldi
I converted my Vx from injection to TBs 15 or so years ago and from memory purchased the rover/Vx silicone hose set which suits the Vx Carb/TB setup. AS mentioned above the injection Vx has a stainless U bend Sub pipe while the Carb version used a shorter straight pipe with fewer outlets. I fabricated my own Sub pipe to suit my installation and went for the carb hoses. The set seems to be out of stock at Caterham (blue/black) but the 3 individual pipes are available (blue) for a few quid more. Worth the money as have never needed to replace one due to failure. Bluestreak
Thanks for your replies; looks like silicone wins 4-0! I've asked Caterham to let me know when new stock arrives and in the meantime will keep an eye on the cracked hoses....
