Peter Carmichael
Take an old 4 or 5 litre oil container and cut a square hole in the side not too close to the bottom.
shin.suri
cheers will stick to the cheap and cheerful option, probably need 2 for a dry sumped car (R400) just out of interest i was told by the factory that it was likely to drink a litre every 1000 miles, is that "normal"? shin
Graham Sewell
Halfords used to do one for about 10ukp that would hold 10l of oil and could be sealed, thereby allowing it to be taken directly to a recycling facility without double handling. I've had mine for over 10 years so I don't know if they still do it! Low tech luddite - xflow and proud!
Dirty Den
so I don't know if they still do it! I bought one about a year ago from Halfords. It also has a seperate vent hole for any heat from the oil to dissipate, after you've drained it into the container. Den 😬 - Self portrait - still unable to remove the smile! Nick Woods
I bought a speical oil drain can and found it wont go under the sump, but two turkey basting trays will and they are about 85p each from tescos. Once the oil has cooled you can pour it into any old container you have for disposal. Nick P8MRA - The green one with red wings. Which is now bent ☹️ 🙆🏻 ☹️ 🙆🏻 ☹️ 🙆🏻 ☹️ 🙆🏻 ☹️ but is being fixed
Simos
I'm with Nick, it also keeps stops the turkey drying out so much. Mine were saved when the missus wanted new cooking trays.
