puremalt
The cross member which forms the front mounting point for the engine has the podercoat/paint coming off and there is a fair volume of surface rust underneath. Any suggestions as to treatment- I don't really want to grind it off with the fuel line in close proximity ( I also don't currently have a working grinder). scooby dooby doo
I'm confused as to which chassis rail you mean... The fuel comes out the transmission tunnel and straight into to the engine (on a K at least). It doesn't go to the front of the engine or near the bottom of it. I'd still suggest the line needs removing so you can clean it properly. VERY coarse sandpaper or a STIFF wire brush and POR-15 will do the job. POR-15 comes from here.
