The kit as supplied had no washers for underneath the disc to hub cap screws (even though the instructions mention them). Having checked dimensions, the cap heads will tighten on to the disc before the threads bottom in the hub so the washers aren't essential (they were not specified on the previous installation anyway ...) The alloy billet hubs have the rear of the tapped disc to hub fitting holes counterbored. This operation has been done after the holes were threaded and consequently the threads have been disturbed. When you fit the screws it would be possible to think that you had reached the end of the thread when in fact you are cleaning up the thread disturbance.
