Cleaning bodywork without water

Recommended Posts

My car is in various pieces in the garage. I want to clean some of the hard to reach areas while I've got access, such as the front scuttle where the windscreen sits and under the rear wings. Has anyone any products they can recommend? The garage is freezing with nowhere for water to drain so I want to try and avoid going in there with a bucket of soapy water. I've used diluted Marine Clean from Frosts to clean all the dirt off from underneath but don't know if its safe to use on paintwork, emailed their customer services earlier in the week but have yet to receive a reply.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Not convinced about carbon Tet in a garden spray in an enclosed space,

now I am not one to worry about many H & S rules but,

from Wiki, just for simplicity,

Exposure to high concentrations of carbon tetrachloride (including vapor) can affect the central nervous system, degenerate the liver[10] and kidneys[12] and may result (after prolonged exposure) in coma and even death.[13] Chronic exposure to carbon tetrachloride can cause liver[14][15] and kidney damage and could result in cancer.[16] More information can be found in Material safety data sheets.[17]

maybe this article on waterless car wash products will help
