Bradders Posted January 10, 2013 Share Posted January 10, 2013 MOT tomorrow and ran a quick light check and both bulbs are not working. Checked bulbs fine. Cleaned contacts, still nothing. Wrightpayne Posted January 10, 2013 Share Posted January 10, 2013 9/10 always the earth. First, with a multimeter see if you have 12v at lamp. Bradders Posted January 28, 2013 Author Share Posted January 28, 2013 Sorted. Needed a new light cluster, as it was cracked in several places, and corroded to hell inside. Was a dodgy earth. Guide below: Used a multimeter and it was the mounting bracket itself. Drilled out rivets. Good clean with emery paper where it was earthed on chassis. Re-rivetted back on bracket. Banged hand on fuel tank. Attached new cluster(thanks SVC for speedy delivery) live feed and re-attched to bracket using "lefty loosy, righty tighty." technique. Slippers and brew.
