Tim and Dot
How do I know if my 1996 k series Roadsport is Imperial or Metric when ordering parts? It seems to me its a mixture! Thanks T

Wrightpayne
Defo imperial. Not sure whether it will be early or late suspension geometry. Mine is a 98 car and is the later set up. Ian
Tim and Dot
And I thought the chassis num would tell me! The chassis has brazed welds so is it Imperial made by Arch?
Nick Green
A 96 chassis will be imperial, made by Arch. Components on the engine, gearbox (maybe only the level/drain plugs?) and the diff will be metric. Need a 10 mm allen key for the plugs, anyway. As for early/late geometry, AIUI, the differentiator is whether the front damper top mount is the same as the upper wishbone mount. If yes = old, If no = new. rj
Metric chassis was not introduced until 2006 me thinks.

Bradders
As far as I'm aware the chassis didn't go to Metric until 2006.
CharlesElliott
A 1996 chassis will be imperial (as mentioned, metric happened in 2006). For other bits on the car, those that came from more modern cars such as Sierra rear brakes will be metric etc.
