rogtuf
I am getting a back fire from my Beaulieu (Vauxhall) 1600 when the engine is cold. I have been told it could be because the engine is too rich, too lean or the timing is out. It has been running fine through the summer. Stationary M25 Traveller
You could make contact with Richard Young at Automotive Engineering at Uckfield (JJ48 on here). Splendid chap. Phone 01825 - 760545 edit - backfire sounds like the timing is out. Edited by - Stationary M25 Traveller on 20 Dec 2012 16:29:

Al7
Hi Roger I have a similar problem with my VX1600 Beaulieu (number 19) lots of spitting back especially when cold. Also spits back on overrun when hot and occasionally backfires. I've been told one of the carbs butterflies isn't seating properly. First job in the spring.
