Scott Tully Posted November 6, 2002 Share Posted November 6, 2002 I have had terrible trouble with my diff. When I picked up my car it had so much backlash in it it sounded like a truck. Took it to noble motor sport who also agreed with me and we both spoke to caterham. The diff was removed and sent back to caterham and they allegardly corrected it. It came back tighter than a ducks arse (water tight) and sounded like they had removed the bearings and thrown them away. They are now fitting an LSD at reduced cost as compensation and hopefully it will now be ok. Anyone else had this problem P.S. The car was new on the 1st september 2002 (I am Not impressed with their quality control) Azure Blue SV 1800 X-Power 140bhp. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Fred Posted November 6, 2002 Share Posted November 6, 2002 SCOTT if i was you i think i would be looking for the LSD for nothing due to all the grief you have had to put up with . quality control what quality control they don't need one we still buy the stuff you only have to look at the carbon fibre parts .
