Steve-B Posted November 6, 2002 Share Posted November 6, 2002 I cracked the heated windscreen on our 6 month old SV on the targa-liege.... ☹️ I don't have to have a MOT for 2.5 years.... 😬 The crack is not moving for 1.5 months..... Am I better sourcing a autoglass replacement, for less cost, or just waiting until MOT time and buying a new one 🤔 🤔 🤔 Are there alternative sources for these? allen Posted November 6, 2002 Share Posted November 6, 2002 Claim on the insurance and pay the excess, usually about 50 quid. 😬 I believe Caterham now only sell screens complete with surround and they are expensive. 🙆🏻 Other option - get a piece of laminated glass cut at your local glass emporium and fit it yourself, OK, no heating element, but I had one cut about 6 years ago and it cost 20 quid.
