I remember everything!

I remember every little thing as if it happened only yesterday

I was barely seventeen, and I once killed a boy with a Fender guitar

I don't remember if it was a telecaster or a stratocaster

But I do remember that it had a heart of chrome and a voice like a horny angel

I don't remember if it was a telecaster or a stratocaster

But I do remember that it wasn't at all easy

It required the perfect combination of the right power chords

And the precise angle from which to strike

The guitar bled for about a week afterward

And the blood was sough dark and rich, like wild berries

The blood of the guitar was Chuck Berry red

The guitar bled for about a week afterward, but it rung out beautifully

And I was able to play notes that I had never even heard before

So I took my guitar, and I smashed it against the wall

Quoting TomB:
Leave it in garage, on the wall over the toolbox
*eek* Smashing it over a VOX AC30 = acceptable .... leaving it in a chilly damp garage = sacrilege 😳 Tom you should buy it and learn to play it!

Kenny ...

American Standard?

Hot Rod?

Single coils?

Re-issue model?

Relic (just wishful thinking 😬)?

Thanks Stu, Star man. I'm going to take some pics later this morning. First of all I'm going to get some new strings for it as it's been in the loft for the last 6 years so I think nice new shiny ones will benefit it *thumbup*

It's just priced for a quick sale............It is genuinely hardly used, that's a true fact.

It would be great anyway if someone with Stu's experience could put the guitar through its paces for the first time in its life...........as I'd love the new owner to be confident he/she is getting a beauty......as we always try to ensure on Blatchat *thumbup*

There are a few interested, Tyrone has first shout and I will email the other lads later this morning.

Cheers

OK chaps, pics as promised. As always we like to be honest on here so I'll mention I have found a couple of little and very tiny ding/marks on it. I'm being fussy but upfront.............to small to get pics of, so really not an issue.

As always, I'm a rubbish photographer *redface*

Just fired it up with the amp after a polish off and a re-string...........no probs *thumbup*

🥰 🥰 🥰 *tongue* *tongue* *tongue* 🥰 🥰 🥰

My first "quality" electric was a JV Squier '52 reissue tele around 1982 .... wish now I'd never sold it 😔 Needs must though and I really wanted a strat!

Certainly the rosewood fretboard on this one should add a little warmth to the sound which is sometimes missing with the maple board teles.

It's funny you mention the Fretboard Stu. I remember when I was in Rimmers in Southport where I bought it. I'd chosen a Tele from stock but the guy told me to hang on a few days whilst this one was delivered to the shop............I had a sulk but did what he asked, he reccomended it.................wouldn't hamper my playing if it was a fretboard made out of blancmange 😬

Kenny, it's lovely, but she has her heart set on a blonde Baja. SWMBO and I were looking at it as a surprise Chrimbo present, but, we've had a bit of rethink on the spending now that we have two at Uni. *eek* The Tele will probably have to wait and be a graduation present. So I'll have to end my interest. Good luck with the sale. *thumbup*
