prs
I've got a 1.6K SS and I intend to carry out all serving and running repairs myself, however I do need to refer to manuals for the correct assembly process etc and more importantly torque settings. Having looked in Halfrauds there appear to be several versions that cover the K series in the rover section. So which is the best one to go for or is it possible to get a proper workshop manual from Rover themselves? Thanks for your replies in advance Phil

Steve Cragg
I've just bought the Haynes Rover 216 & 416 manual that covers the 216 from 1989 to 1996. This includes the 16V twin cam engine. ISBN is 1 85960 461 7 If you get to know of a better manual could you let me know Steve
Ade Ray
On the subject of Haynes manuals: Theyn do a carb manual but it does not have 40 Webers in it. Do they do a different manual for side draught or can anyone recommend a good alternative reference for 40/45 Webers? prs
Thanks guys. Dave J. I live in Walton which is just of the A44 about 3 miles from Kington, it's a superb piece of tarmac! In fact I was out last night blatting just to keep all parts moving nicely, as if I need an excuse for a blat! You mention a Rover Manual, how much do you want or would a donation to Leuk be OK? Give me a ring on 01544 230124 after 6ish e-mail and server problems at the moment, cheers Phil
Foxy Smith
Ade, Best book on Sidedraught Weber/Dellortos I've seen is by Des Hammill, can get this on-line from www.veloce.co.uk Good enough book to give you confidence to do complete strip and re-build, which I did this summer, took a day, service kit from SouthernCarburettors I think about £15 per carb. Well worth the effort if your carbs have seen a few years service. Alan
