Build query-clutch jammed open?

Another weekend another snag.

Bellhousing fitted to engine block but I had expected the clutch release bearing to be pushed back with some spring pressure against the clutch, instead the clutch release fork and bearing just flop back and forth.

Does this mean the clutch is jammed open? if so how do I release it/

1.6 SV in construction (slowly)

Thanks folks. there was a problem aligning the drive shaft-the clutch disc had been fitted off centre and once sorted I can see that the release arm only moves about half of the slot before hitting the clutch spring, this looks about right.

Cheers

Obsure but related question time- can anybody recall where their clutch actuator fork was located, i.e. was it a loose item or with the bellhousing.

Went to mate engine and box this weekend and cannot find the aforementioned anywhere. I have a release bearing (loose) but no fork or bellhousing gaitor. Caterham could never have forgotten to send it surely? (Found this out half-an-hour after Caterham closed on Saturday *mad*)
