taffyracer
Hi, I'm swapping from 15" to 13" shortly, new Compomotive's on order, other than the possible grinding works to get the rears to fit, what else do I need to do oher than fit new lower wing stays and light brackets, anything?? Jason Plato
if your putting different profile tyres on you might need to adjust your ride height , especially the rear / front rake . other than that drive 😬
kenny.
I had to do the little bit of cleaning up on the rear to fit the 13x 8 rears on my last 7 as you say. Only other thing I never realised was the position of the balancing weights on front wheels was an issue too. I had them balanced and found they fouled the brake pipe below the big AP brakes...........had to have them redone to resolve this. Apart from that no other issues. gundersen
When I moved from 16" to 13" I had to remove a bit of material from the dedion bar (only a mm or two) as it just touched the rim. Other than that, as Kenny says watch the placement of the balancing weights, with big breaks there is not many places they can sit without touching the calipers. Thurtene
If the rolling circumference is different, the speedo will need re-programming. I had to do it when changing from cr322 to cr500 tyres.
Dickie Normuss
I'm just finishing the same process. If you've got a rear ARB you'll need to move the droplinks to the inside of the ARB arm.
taffyracer
bugger, forgot about the speedo, have a stack so i'm sure it's simple enough, rear ARB links, mmh, cheers.....alot of work it seems but on 15's the car just doesn;t feel right IMO so c'est la vie
