felix.klauser Posted October 30, 2002 Share Posted October 30, 2002 If the seal in the lid is good it shouldn't leak, regardless of orientation. It probably won't lay flat but perhaps on edge. Prop it up with a 2nd one? I have a 6 US gallon plastic gerry can bought at a local yacht chandlery that is wide and squat so it fits perfectly in the footwell and being plastic doesn't bang around or scuff things up.
