Supersprint1988
For once I will ask the question before I begin the installation of a new device Best place to install a Wilwood dial type brake bias valve, please ?? Pics would be wonderful 😬 😬 Edited by - Supersprint1988 on 6 Aug 2012 17:08:
Pendennis
I have just fitted the Willwood bias valve to my car. It secures to gearbox tunnel adjacent to the gearstick driver side, so its near to my left knee. Easy to fit, cut pipes in tunnel, pull pipes through and flare off then secure. Bolt valve to tunnel side, job is done If you want a picture blatmail me your address and I send one over 😶🌫️

Supersprint1988
Would he be more happy if it was under the bonnet or somewhere else outside the cockpit

Roger Ford
Danish MOTs might be a bit stricter, though.
Pezky
My brake adjuster is under the dash, on the right of the steering column, just about reach when driving. Connected straight off the master cylinder. Never had a MOT issue but he has probably never seen it
rj
Quoting Roger Ford: Danish MOTs might be a bit stricter, though. Spot on! You are not allowed to have it, so it must be somewhere, where it's not noticed. Crazy, but the rules are uniformed to the lowest common denominator in this country. Example: A VW Transporter has from the factory a tow capacity of 2.5t, but the maximum gross weight of both trailer and car is 5t, so when the towing car has an allowed maximum of 3.025t the tow capacity is lowered to 1.975t - because we Danes can not use the brain. The Department for Transport does this for us.
Supersprint1988
Thanks gents It will be some kind of hidden installation a la Q102 then, even though the piping work would be much easier with Pendennis solution.
