What type of rim ?

Apologies to the purists as this isn’t really too “tekkie” – but no-where else seemed appropriate to post!

I have a set of 4 gold centred (silver rimmed) KN's with p.c.d. of 3 3/4".

On the back, in 4 depressions/holes is the following information :-

KN

Made in UK

6J X 13

SCP

I don't know what the SCP means. Does it mean anything at all ?

I have had the rim checked and have been told the offset is ET16 (Can they do this without removing the tyre from the rim ?)

(Until I started reading threads in these pages I never knew what offset was all about. I'm still not too sure).

Could they really be Caterham standard offset rims (with an ET23) ?

There ends the tekkie type questions.

Ideally I am looking for 1 off to make up a set of 5, or potentially a couple . The current set have only been used on track and have suffered no (visible) damage.

Could anyone point me in the right direction ?

Alternatively, though not my preferred route, I could go for a full new set.

If so – what would you recommend (and I don’t have the chunky wallet required for split rims etc)

If KN are still a good option - do they do black/silver combination (or what else looks good on a black bodied car)?

If going for new, should I stay with ET16 or move to Caterham standard of ET23, (or the ET19 which is stated in the manual ?)

Not sure whether this should be in Tech, Wanted or directed straight to a supplier.

Apologies for all the questions, and I don’t expect all of them to be answered.

Looking forward to, and expecting, many HIGHLY BIASED replies on “which rim would you recommend?”
