Calling Hoopy 6002 2RS

I'm about to rebuild mine. Will I need these or can I refit my current ones? Although I intend to replace only the nylon thrust block (for a custom made bronze variant), I wouldn't mind having the whole rack apart to see if there are any other engineering improvements I could make at the same time.

Having read Hoopy and Phil Waters' accounts of taking one apart though, I'm seriously considering NOT going that far.

Hoopy, did you take any piccies of the dissassembly? Would be interested.

Nig, I have pictures and none of it is actually very difficult or tricky, although having a pillar drill helps mightily. To remove the pinion you'll need to remove the bearings, it may be the removal that knackered the one that went (its gets pushed by the pinion against the wall of the housing, ie lots of lateral load) or maybe the wall at cadwell did it...

whatever, if i don't need them i can keep them and send them out to whoever needs them.
