Dave H Posted October 23, 2000 Share Posted October 23, 2000 I believe that the Chassis number contains details of the Chassis type - Short/Long cockpit, Live Axle/De Dion, left/right hand drive etc, plus year of manufacture. What I don't know is which bit means what - but I'm sure Caterhams would help if there was something you needed to know. They hold details of most of the cars they have produced and will tell you what they have if you can supply a Chassis number. (They did when I spoke to them about the history of my car just after I bought it (10 years ago)) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
