I believe the exhaust heat mostly goes out of the bonnet louvres, and doesn't go down the tunnel for the same reason that the gearbox heat doesn't escape out of the tunnel i.e. no space. The 5 speed box is substantially bigger than the 4 speed box and sits further back in the tunnel. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
