C20XE Cylinder Head

I'm after a C20XE cylinder head, preferably a Coscast that has had some work done to it, but I realise that beggars can't be choosers. It's going to be used with the current Weber 48 DCOE carbs until I get the car converted to fuel injection with Jenvey throttle bodies.

 

I would prefer a Coscast, as they don't suffer from the dreaded porous head problem, but I'm willing to consider KS heads. I will pay to get the head pressure tested to confirm that it isn't porous and doesn't have any other internal cracks, but I will need to discuss the implications of this with the seller, as I don't want to pay for a head and then pay to get it tested only to discover that it is fit for scrap.

 

/edit. To clarify, I don't mind paying the postage and paying to test a head to find that it fails, but I'd rather not have to pay for the head as well.

Not sure whether they did it in the end but SBD were getting some new heads made so might be worth giving Steve a call to find out. No idea on price. Would be interested to know the outcome.

I've pulled the head off my spare engine, which I didn't want to do, so I'll reply to the mail, as I'd like to rebuild it again.
