This car has been owned by me since 2004. Prior to that it was used by PalmerSport at Bedford Autodrome as a trackday car running on LPG. It had been converted back to petrol prior to my purchasing it from Caterham South. During this time no speedo/odometer was fitted.

It is one of the last Sevens registered prior to the introduction of SVA testing and having been kit built does not require an emissions test just a visible smoke test.

After purchasing it I stripped most of it down to install a complete new chassis loom, full instrumentation and lighting as these had been stripped out during it's track life.

Current recorded mileage is: 16,900

Condition: Whilst fundamentally sound this car is not a shiny showroom/polishers example having seen plenty of year round use. Perfectly drivable it would benefit from some TLC.

In terms of running it suffers from an intermittent mis-fire and associated poor tick over which I have been unable to pinpoint but strongly believe to be electrical. Having said that, it has never left me stuck at the side of the road.

Hi Steve. Well that's a bit if a bombshell. *eek*

I hope all is well with you and that you have a great post 7 (would that be 8?) life.

Most of all thanks for all your help and enthusiasm over the years, it has been really appreciated.

As you say we all move on but so far I've managed to hang on to the 7. Don't forget you are always welcome to visit us down here, best roads in the country - I'm sure we can organise a "guest drive" for you *cool*

Still no internet at the new house hence the paucity of communications!

Quoting Steve Newman:
Graham, I've always been one of the unwashed 😬

Ahh, yes, that I know. But now part of the great unwashed! Perhaps like me you consider yourself as between 7's!

BTW has your 7 always just been aeroscreen, rather than having a screen and it taken off?

Thanks Keith,

Graham, current 7 came with full screen which I removed soon after purchase. It's been hanging in the garage ever since. For me that's the best place for it. For others that's not the case so it goes with the Seven when sold. Takes 20 minutes to change over even thought it's not one of the new style interchangeable ones.

Steve, really sad you've had to make the decision to sell. I always thought you were pretty much surgically attached to your 7. Still, I can understand your reasons and just hope you will find something else to enjoy, as much.

I may not be very far behind you ☹️. Life moves on and priorities change, eh? It's weird though, the contemplation of selling the 7 is way tougher than even selling my house was. They get in your blood, don't they?

Good luck mate, don't be a stranger and I hope you will still be with us at the DHD on the 19th *thumbup*
