0.5" bore master cylinder

Anyone have one, or know where they're made?

 

Wilwood say they'll have them available late summer. Any other sources?

AP do a 14mm, which is just over at 0.55 inch, but it's a race part so not going to be cheap here. I assume they will do a mounting flange that is good for your new setup.

I just got a 15mm one from AP (via Raceparts - AP don't sell direct) but AP were very helpful and their tech department supplied part numbers etc.

Cost was about £130 including reservoir, was straightforward replacement for existing part, but much lighter! (This was for clutch Master cylinder, sure the brake part will have even greater weight saving.)

Would definitely use AP parts again.

Just found the 14mm one on AP's website. I'll do some calcs and weigh the options. Wonder if I might find one at Stoneleigh?

if it's for a BEC then I used a AP 14mm on mine and it was nice and proportional and worked fine. (Busa with Nova slave)

As I've now got twin MCs, I need the small bore to lighten the pedal pressure. The only problem with using the AP one is the £130 price tag. The Wilwwod 0.5" one will only be £35 when available.

I think you need to sit down with a stiff drink before you price anything with the AP name on it.

 

Do you have any pics of your new set up? Interested to see how you sorted this in the end.
