pugwash
I am at that stage of the build where I have to torque up the rear hubs. Manual says 81nm will do until you can bleed the brakes and use that to lock the disc. I have tried bracing the wheel studs against the floor but when I get to about 60 nm the car is trying to lift itself off the axel stands so can't get any tighter. Any hints? Shad
You're pushing the torque wrench down towards the ground rather than up towards the sky, right? To be honest even 60 is fine since the most you might do with the car at that stage is wheel it around in the garage.

elie boone
Use an impact wrench for tightening now and later u can use the torque wrench
charlie_pank
I really wouldn't worry about it until it's a rolling chassis and you can use the brakes. whatever you can tighten it to at the moment will be fine
