Sgt Pepper
.....lists among other things Road Licence and V5 Â I have to confess that the only time these leave home are when I drive abroad. Should I really be taking them to sprints etc....
Mike Guest
An interesting observation. Driving license - entry forms ask: "Do you hold or have you ever held a valid Road Traffic Act Licence: YES / NO. In case anyone asks to prove it, useful to have it with you. V5 - useful to prove whether the car should or should not have a CAT as establishes its year of manufacture. This all might be a surplus of caution but ....

Matthew Willoughby
I've always taken my V5 and driving licence just in case. They have never been asked for in 5 years (unike my MOT and insurance cetrificate which I have been asked for in scutineering) but you never know....... Area Representative Richard Price Posted April 14, 2012 Area Representative Share Posted April 14, 2012 I've been asked for my V5 twice in ten years of competition! The first time I was asked, it took me quite by suprise. The Scruitineer pointed me at the relevant section of the blue book, but despite me not having my V5 with me, he still passed my car. I now always have my V5 with me at events!
Simon.Rogers1
I always have the V5 on me as asked many times. Never have my road licence.
Englishmaninwales
My experience is that it depends on the type of car. I rarely have been asked for the V5 /MOT/insurance for the Caterham. However in my 205 gti I have been asked at every event. I assume the scrutineers consider me to be a chav in the 205 and a law abiding citizen in the Caterham 😬
