pandjack Posted April 13, 2012 Share Posted April 13, 2012 Having now wired a comms port into my MBE 967 ECU & dowloaded Easimap5 I'm in need of a map lead. According to the SBD website the serial connectors on this are specifically wired with a warning that a standard serial lead is no use (& can actually damage laptop, ECU, or both). Paul Deslandes Posted April 16, 2012 Share Posted April 16, 2012 if you have no luck finding one the wiring details are on the SBD website or you can modify a standard cable. If you've been able to fit the serial port then you shouldn't have any difficulty making or modifying one. You can ignore the resistors in their diagram, just leave them out and only make the 3 wire connections. Remove or cut off everything else.
