stevemersey
I love the sound of the Webers on my Zetec, but would love it even more if there was slightly less of it, so the whole neighbourhood does not know when I go out. Currently I am on standard K and N filters. Can anyone recommend any quieter solutions or means of slightly muting my induction.
philmorton
I'm confused, you want it quieter? 😬

John Hughes
There's me trying to make my sigma louder like my old cross flow. I do miss the lack of "ringing ears" when I return from a blat. I hope the new supersport 4" silencer "does what it says on the tin" Seriously though some sort of airbox is probably the only solution but if not carefully designed and matched to the carbs it probably will reduce the power and torque. Induction roar was only a problem when it set off car alarms *smile*

John Hughes
Peter I'm surprised you haven't suggested an aerosceen as it will mask some of the induction roar when traveling at speed *smile*
Chewie
Remove more wadding from the zorst silencer to balance out the din. 😳
6speedmanual
Go Aero! 😬 It may mask some of the induction noise.
keybaud
I made my Vx engine much quieter, by wearing ear plugs.... It also has the advantage of reducing the volume of anyone complaining about the engine noise. Edited by - keybaud on 29 Mar 2012 20:25:

millsn
I find K&Ns are quieter than 'socks', you could try that as it's simple and you may already have them. Other than that you need an airbox but I can't find one off the shelf to suit (although I haven't tried enormously hard).
