Noel Mclaughlin
I have been offered a set of forged pistons with 37 mm compression height and 83.5 mm bore . Question is suitable rods to use with these as std too short and BDD rods nonexistent in Australia for sensible money. Datsun L18 very close and I am using a modified Datsun crank anyway. Has any one any experience as too how one of these "long rod" motors behave with respect to vibrations/ revability etc. My proposed motor will have the required bits for an expected 150 HP or so
oilyhands
A longer rod will improve the rod ratio and rod angle, there may be a little more weight but the result should be favourable. Oily
