craigyb
Just looking forward to my first season of sprinting. One point on my mind is the early starts and distance to the tracks. I'm 3 hours from Goodwood, so would rather stay over the night before, would be happy to camp or go in a hotel I will have my car on a trailer, so that needs to be taken into account. Any advice out there?

The Comp Sec
Don't get in with the wrong crowd. They will lead you astray and your times will suffer. Particular competitors to avoid are The Chairman (mind you now he is a member of the Saga 7's he'll have to slow down to the same drinking pace as his driving) Team Rioja is another to avoid and if he says he's camping I suggest you camp elsewhere or at least use high vis guide ropes on your tent 😬
craigyb
LOL, Team Rioja, that sounds dangerous... Do the venues typically allow camping?

philmorton
Wow! That's really weird. I was just about to post the same thing having spent sometime just looking at hotels near Goodwood. Hadn't considered camping although GF has just shuddered

Charlies Angel
Oh you poor babies; I shall once again enjoy the only time I get to stay in my own bed and then make the 15 minute journey to the track However, although the accommodation listed under L7 recommendations is very nice, as a lot of you will know, accommodation down here at the seaside is very expensive - if you are looking for clean and tidy but not glam try: Goodwood Park@ Westhampnet Premier Inn@ Shripney (Bognor Regis) Comfort Inn @Arundel Listed in order of proximity to track. You can leave your 7 and trailer at the circuit the night before so there are no worries about car park car theft. Charlies Angel
Oops sorry forgot Goodwood B&B's Nearest B&B is The Old Store Guest House in Halnaker, otherwise try B&B's in Boxgrove,Singleton,Westhampnet, Lavant or slightly further away in Eastergate, Westergate,or Tangmere.
