Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted October 22, 2002 Leadership Team Share Posted October 22, 2002 Hi - can't part with any Brooklands screens but can strongly recommend buying them from Kimble Engineering on 01803 835757 rather than Caterham. They do them for £46 per side - my conversation went something like this. ME - "I understand that you sell Brooklands Screens?" Mr Kimble "No sir, we MAKE the Brooklands screens" Nice guy, and they arrived within 2 days. Now, if only Caterham could supply the stanchion I'd be sorted Regards - Michael. philwaters
Michael, It is worth thinking about which stantion you want. They do one that covers the wiper holes and one that goes behind them - for easier swapping back to screen. I think the latter is the one they sell out of more often. I was sure I'd want to swap back now and then, so got the latter one, and now think I should have got the other type... removing the wipers doesn't take that much longer - and looks a lot neater.... Phil Waters You mean you can drive these? I thought it was just there to polish 😬
Anthony
Hi, suggest you go for one which covers the wipers unless you intend to do a lot of touring. When removing wipers I found it easier to take scuttle off. It is not that tricky - only 4 nuts - and this allows all the wiper assembly etc to come out sensibly and all the tidy up Regards
