zetec 1800 or zetec 2000 how can you tell the difference.

Found in a scrap yard but how can I tell whether 1800 or 2000,or what vehicle,year it was manufactured for.Any advice greatly received.Thanks Bullman.

Bar code on the cam cover tells all if its still there

Or 1.8 is stamped cast into the head on my engine

The Zetec E has four bolts on the water pump pully and has grooves in it and is the easiest engine to convert to a seven

 

I have a list of every Ford/Westfield part number to convert to RWD for fitting into a seven E-mail me if you need it.

My 1800 engine has 1.8 cast in relief on the block on the right hand (exhaust side) towards the front if I remember correctly.

Ammo is right, you will find it where he says on the block, either 1.8 or 2.0 The year of manufacture can be determined from the engine code number. Can't remember what the sequence numbers are, but Burton Power published a guide in their 2002 catalogue (which I can't now find). If I find it I will let you know.

Just found the Burton catalogue so if you can tell me the first 2 letters of the engine number, I can look up the month/year of manufacture ie SJ = September 1995
