Englishmaninwales
Looking to source the waterproof crimped female ends in the ECU connector. Tried usual suspects - Maplins, Motor World and Halfords. Where can I get these before I cut them off my spare loom? Malcolm
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted January 14, 2012 Leadership Team Share Posted January 14, 2012 Malcolm, IIRC the ones you need are Sumitomo terminals but definitely check the dimensions - I managed to source some when I rewired my loom but I can't be 100% sure these were the ones! Englishmaninwales
Thanks Stu. They look like the correct ones but I'll check the measurements
oilyhands
If these are for an EU2 connector then I have hundreds of them here, yours for postage. Oily
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted January 15, 2012 Leadership Team Share Posted January 15, 2012 .... and make sure you use a proper crimping tool There's 2 sections to crimp - the section nearest the open end is simply crimped onto the bared wire, the section at the wire end is crimped over both the insulated cable and the waterproof plug - when pushed into the back of the ECU plug the water proof plug will slide in properly. The waterproof plug cannot be pushed into the ECU plug after the connector is in place. Stu.
