Shad
Surplus to requirements I've got three bits of kit I need to get rid of (two PC systems and one dead - but fixable - monitor): Model: Dell Precision T7400 Manufactured: 01/11/2009 CPU: 1x Intel Xeon E5405 quad core @ 2.0 GHz Memory: 4x 1 Gb ECC FBDIMM Video card: NVIDIA Quadro FX1700 512 Mb Expansion slots: 1x PCIe x8, 2x PCIe x16, 1x PCI, 3x PCI-X Onboard storage: LSI hardware RAID, 7x SATA ports Additional storage: SiL 3512 PCI SATA card, 1x SATA, 1x eSATA External storage: 1x DVD-ROM (SATA), 1x DVD-R/W (SATA), 1x FDD Internal bays: 4x 5.25", 4x 3.5", 1x 5.25/3.5" Connectivity (back): 1x eSATA, 2x DVI-D, 5x USB, 1x 10/100/1000 ethernet, 1x audio line out, 1x audio line in, 1x Firewire, PS/2 mouse + keyboard, parallel, 2x serial Connectivity (front): Headphone, microphone, 2x USB, 1x Firewire PSU: 1000 W This is an absolute beast of a machine. Great for video editing (which is what it was used for), very upgradable (e.g. you can currently get a pair of Xeon E5420 processors on eBay for £80, add the additional heatsink for another £70 and you've more than doubled the processing power). It's also only just over 2 years old so it's in great shape and will last a long time to come. Quadro card is excellent for CAD and video, up to 128Gb of ram with risers. You could fit 10x 3.5" drives in this system using caddy/bay converters so it would make a great storage server. I'm after £300 for this one. Collection from Newbury or I can deliver within 50 mile radius for additional cost. It's 25+kg! Model: ESP (semi-custom) Mainboard: Intel D945GCL CPU: 1x Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13 GHz Memory: 2x 2 Gb DDR Video card: ASUS ATI Radeon X1300PRO 256 Mb Expansion slots: 1x PCIe x16, 2x PCI, 1x PCIe x1 Onboard storage: 4x SATA External storage: 1x DVD-ROM (IDE) Internal bays: 2x 5.25", 3x 3.5" Connectivity (back): PS/2 keyboard + mouse, 1x serial, 1x parallel, 1x VGA (onboard), 4x USB, 1x 10/100 ethernet, audio line in, audio line out, microphone, 1x VGA, 1x DVI-D Connectivity (front): Headphone, microphone, 2x USB PSU: 300 W This was a development workstation until we upgraded. Still reasonably powerful, great for an office workstation. Ram is maxed out but CPU can be upgraded. £50, collection or delivery as above. I also have a dead Viewsonic VP201b monitor. I absolutely love this screen so I was gutted when the PSU blew before Christmas. I've tried to have it repaired but no luck. A new one can be ordered from the US so it's not a lost cause. Other than the failed PSU, it's in perfect working order and is an outstanding screen (IPS panel, 1600x1200, multi-input, rotating, etc). £25, collection or delivery as above. Please note, neither PC system will come with any hard drives. They do both have Windows licences though, Vista Business for the Dell and XP Pro for the ESP. Pictures of everything can be found here: http://niknak.org/gallery/pictures/misc/12-01-14for-sale I'll list on eBay later today or tomorrow. simonpa
Hi Simon, the PC sounds twice as good as the shed I currently use for photo editing, so I'd like it please :) I'll also try fixing the monitor! Are you passing near Fleet of Reading in the near future? Cheers - Simon
