Martin Ray
I am thinking of changing from a standard tank to a large (60 litre) one. Can anyone give me advice on what to buy (and where from) and on any issues in fitting the replacement.
Bilbo
Hi Martin I have a 11/12 gallon tank forget real size. I bought mine when I got fed up travelling for work in the car always looking for the next fill up say 1995. This was from Caterham. You do loose say 65 mm in height of boot space makes getting a crash helmet in a very tight fit. I kept the old fuel sender so the gauge reads wrong, not really any problem I normally fill up at just above the red with 45 litres to the filler pipe. 1988 200 bhp, 146 ft lbs, 1700cc Cosworth BD? with Brooklands and Clamshell wings, Freestyle Motorsport suspension. Martin Ray
My car is an R500. Caterham are quoting around £1000 for a bag tank plus box. Is there a more cost effective route to go?
