jimmyslr
I'm thinking about the 2012 racing season. I will do some Mag 7s (early season down south is good for me), maybe the odd semsec, but is there anything else this year I should look at? I have a non-standard, specced-up K-series SLR, so none of the official Caterham series are suitable for me (grads, super grads etc). I don't think there are any Britcar/sports or MSVR series that suit this year. Any thoughts gratefully received, James
Fishy Dave
Hi James, Take a look at the Intermarque series, quite a few Caterhams and Tigers in the series. It was a friendly series in the races I entered. http://www.intermarques.co.uk/
Fishy Dave
Oh, and I'm also tempted to enter a round or two of the BARC NW sports and saloons series. Circuits like Oulton, Mallory and Rockingham are within range for us southerners. No regulations printed just yet, but the regional site is here - here
jchasey
Provisional calendar for Intermarques this year is: Brands Hatch - March 24th or 25th Silverstone - May 12th Mallory Park - June 4th (Live on Motors TV) Lydden Hill - June 16th or 17th Snetterton - July 21st Thruxton - August 18th or 19th Rockingham - Oct 6th Brands Hatch - Nov 3rd or 4th Still subject to change but looking forward to Thruxton in particular. Just got to get the car back on the road now...! John
Fishy Dave
Thanks John, Have copied this across to a thread on Pistonheads. I'm keen to try Thruxton, great to see that venue as a possiblity. Although lack of power and short gearing could present a challenge or two (same excuses as previous years!).
